Why BNP Leader Nick Griffin is to stand in Barking

Nick & Richard in Barking
Over the ten days, I’ve had lots of people ringing me up about the announcement that Nick is going to stand as the BNP parliamentary candidate in Barking at the next election.
Obviously, it’s no great secret that the BNP are all set to take the seat, currently occupied by Labour MP Margaret Hodge, who, to give her credit, has for a long time now had the savvy to see the writing on the wall. There are a huge and steadily growing number of BNP supporters and voters in Barking, all of whom are thoroughly cheesed off (to put it politely) at the appalling way that the constituency has been sold out to new-comers over the last decade of Ms Hodge’s disastrous reign. Margaret Hodge is a fervent supporter of multiculturalism and diversity and the like, but the majority of the long-term residents here don’t agree. They also don’t like the way that the Labour controlled council has failed to deliver on housing, education, employment, and, dare I mention it without getting my wrists slapped, knife-crime. And what they all want is change.
The BNP is the only party with the guts to make the fundamental changes that the people of the constituency of Barking and the Borough of Barking and Dagenham want. So in order to serve their interests in the best possible combination, we have formulated a unique and inimitable double act- the dream ticket, no less:- Nick Griffin is to stand as MP for Barking, and myself, Richard Barnbrook as Leader of what will be the new BNP controlled Council of Barking and Dagenham. In order to do this, Nick, once elected here, will resign his MEP seat.
Nick and I have always seen eye to eye, and together we will be able to work effectively to serve those who live here, by implementing real and radical change that will not only transform the Borough, but will blaze a trail as a radiant model for the rest of the country. We will show the nation in no uncertain terms how the sensible, pragmatic policies of the BNP, on housing, employment, education, care for the elderly, law and order, will when implemented, fundamentally improve the daily life for the people who live here. And we, the BNP, have promised not just to freeze council tax, we are going to cut it in our first year as the controlling party on the council.
So now you know. Nick and I together, once elected, will be an unstoppable force, standing up for common sense, for fairness and for the basic concerns and interests of the ordinary person.
The BNP’s ‘Battle for Britain’ starts now- and that battle begins in Barking!
